Riding the bus – London

Date June 22, 2008

I stayed in a posh hotel in Paddington after a not so posh ride on the train. I met some new friends from Australia – Paul and Sharon. In London we rode double decker red buses and wandered the streets visiting a big church (St Pauls where my mate Sharon got told off for talking) and the museum. Too many people in London if you ask me.

A day at Kew – London

Date June 1, 2008

My castle in Chepstow doesn’t have any gardens. They seem to like gardens here in London. They are big enough anyway. Nice for a day out but I wouldn’t want to look after them. Too much work.

Nice greenery

Castles and rain in Wales

Date May 26, 2008

Over the Easter weekend Steve and Carleen took me with their mate Tony for a tour around Wales. It was good to be in my homeland. We saw plenty of castles, lots of rain but no puffins.

Eden Project – St Austell

Date May 17, 2008

Huge bee hive like domes with plants inside them. Interesting to see, lots of displays, plenty of places to hide and children to scare.

Caldicot Castle – Wales

Date March 30, 2008

A sunny day means a trip to a castle. Caldicot this time. Tourists don’t seem to visit this one much. Great, more room for me.

The big stones – Wiltshire

Date March 25, 2008

Big stones in the middle of a field, lots of tourists and a pesky American bird hogging my photo. Not a bad spot really minus the tourists. Hold on – I am one. I also visited Woodhenge, which has been remade in concrete. Hmmm, what the?

American tourists!

Not so big now are they

Falkirk Wheel – Scotland

Date March 24, 2008

A rather big piece of metal if you ask me. It takes people from the top of the canal to the bottom while still sitting in their boat. Lazy sods.

My highland adventure – Scotland

Date March 24, 2008

I took a road trip to Scotland. On the way seeing deer, snow, mountains, castles, and lochs. I am sorry to say that Nessie wasn’t at home.

Big castle, cool displays, tons of peacocks. Not bad but I still love my castle in Chepstow.

Not much for walking – Ebbor Gorge

Date February 16, 2008

Not one to walk, I prefer flying. However if my mate Steve is keen to carry me-then so be it. Luxury.

Walking is so overated
